DreamWorks Animation

Ann Daly has served as DreamWorks Animation’s chief operating officer since our IPO in October 2004. She was previously head of the animation division of DreamWorks SKG since July 1997, where she guided the strategic, operational, administrative and production-oriented concerns of the animation division, as well as overseeing the worldwide video operations of DreamWorks Studios. Prior to joining DreamWorks Studios, Ann was president of Buena Vista Home Video (BVHV), North America, a division of The Walt Disney Company, where she presided over the then-single largest video company in the world. She was responsible for marketing, sales, distribution, operations, production and all other facets of the home video division. During her 14-year tenure at Disney, she was a home video industry pioneer, orchestrating many innovations such as the direct-to-video business, where high quality, family-oriented films were produced exclusively for the home video market. Under her direction, BVHV won several vendor awards for marketing and advertising, as well as for its state-of-the-art distribution, shipping and inventory replenishment systems. Ann received her B.A. in economics from The University of California, Los Angeles.
