Responsible for managing the financial analysis, strategic planning and operational activities for DreamWorks Animation TV globally for theatrical properties.
Essential job responsibilities:
-Participate in the creation, maintenance and analysis of the ultimates and rolling financial plans for theatrical properties in the Television and SVOD markets.
-Review and compare actual results with forecast estimates, preparing appropriate variance and cause of change explanations.
-Prepare and maintain standard monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages.
-Create, maintain and prepare various financial and operational reports by deal, by territory, by distributor, etc.
-Contribute to a variety of ad-hoc financial analyses related to title performance, competitive titles, release windows, distribution strategies and new business development projects.
-Provide financial support to the operating groups responsible for Television and SVOD.
-Participate in the maintenance and analysis of the long range plan and assumptions for the Television and SVOD markets.
-Managing a wide variety of data from divergent sources.
-Coordinate with distribution partners to understand rate card, timing, avails and planning assumptions.
-Assist corporate finance in developing and maintaining cash forecasts.
-Special projects as required.
Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in finance, economics or accounting preferred.
-5-7 years in corporate FP&A or similar area.
-Previous entertainment industry experience preferred (Television experience preferred).
-Significant experience in financial modeling and thorough understanding of GAAP accounting.
-Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills a must. Prior experience with Hyperion Planning preferred.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects.
-Ability to grasp new concepts and problem solve.
-Team Player with a positive attitude and desire to learn.
-Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and analytical skills.
